Spode Blue Italian Casual Dinner Table

Pat had fun putting this week's family friendly table together. Spode's Blue Italian is one of her favorites - so it was an easy task to do.
To give the table a casual look, Pat started with place mats instead of a tablecloth

Pat loves to use two chargers for the place setting whenever possible - the silver charger was the perfect color choice

Flatware is "San Remo" by Hampton Silversmiths

According to Replacements.com, the Spode Blue Italian pattern was "adapted from a 17th century landscape painting" - it features "Italian ruins and a Chinese-inspired floral border." And since the pattern has been around and active since 1816, we can't be the only ones to love it.....

Yes, the dinnerware has changed "slightly" since it was first introduced.....

The blue glass charger is "Rondo Sapphire" by Bormioli

Seeing that it is a casual table, inexpensive glassware work perfectly. Pat found the blue stemmed water glasses at a thrift store and the wine glass came from the Dollar Tree.

I love the detail on the inside of the cup
