Sunflowers in Autumn Tablescape

It's been quite a while since we last used our "Sunflower" dinnerware from Pier 1. Although Pat used it for everyday last year [Pat always changes up her dinnerware for each season and/or holiday since we are "fortunate"enough to own several patterns - the word "fortunate" is probably not the word I am looking for if you listen to family and friends.....I fully admit I have a dish problem and my dear sister is almost as addicted], it has been sitting on the shelf among all the other dinnerware waiting to be used again.

In addition to spray painting the chargers and matching napkin rings, Pat's sweet husband made our rustic centerpiece box for us a couple years ago.

Flatware is my old "everyday" pattern from the 1980's - Noritake's ceramic handled "Iron Brown"

Halloween Pirate Days Tablescape

Four or five years ago, a lot of tablescapers were using "skull" plates for Halloween. We just left ours on the shelf  "for later." Well, later is finally here - Pat pulled out the plates and set the table in a pirate theme for Halloween.

The tablecloth (made from specialty fabric from JoAnn's Fabrics)  was the inspiration for the table design.

Flatware is "Meridian Satin" by Cambridge

For the first of two chargers, Pat used "Chinese Red" lacquer chargers that matched the red on the tablecloth

Pat wrapped the napkin around the charger so that it wouldn't be in the way

Pat first tried black tumblers but decided on stemmed goblets

Pat loaded the "treasure chest" with lots of jewelry and gold chains

Spode Reynolds Fall Table

Pat set the table this week using Spode "Reynolds." It has a large spray of fruit and flowers in the center of the plate - perfect for any Fall tablescape.  The pattern was first introduced in 1954 and discontinued in 1988.

Pat used a "Mulberry" Fiesta(ware) appetizer plate as the bread and butter plate

Flatware is glossy stainless steel "Image" by Spode, 

Simple, inexpensive glassware to tone down the "rustic look" of the table

Although Pat didn't use the salad plate this week, I wanted to show it. The pattern is identical to the dinner plate

After she finished setting the table, Pat and I dashed to Costco to pick up fresh fruit for the centerpiece (except the grapes - they are from Michael's!) 

Pat made two small flower arrangements using "Mulberry" Fiesta(ware) Gusto bowls that match the bread and butter plates

These small grape clusters are actually Christmas ornaments we purchased years ago and then attached to 1" PVC pipe that was spray painted
