Spring Monkey Business

Seems like we are on an "animal theme" streak - last week was pink flamingo and this week is monkey. They're cute, sometimes annoying, most of the time smelly, but always adorable. Our Great-niece paired an American Atelier "Monkey" accent plate with a Fiesta(ware) "Shamrock" luncheon plate and used a "Classic Bamboo" dinner plate from Juliska as a charger plate to set this week's tablescape.

Where it came from:
Giant Leaf Place Mats - from Pier 1 years ago
Charger/Dinner Plates - "Classic Bamboo" by Juliska from out collection
Luncheon Plate and Matching Bread and Butter Plate - "Shamrock" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements,Ltd. years ago

Just a Fun Flamingo Table

This week's tablescape is a break from all of the mayhem and madness going on around the world. We wanted something fun and diverting - thus pink flamingos. Nothing says entertaining and amusing like this crazy, wildly popular icon of pop culture.
This table is much more reserve and constrained than we usually set when using pink flamingo.

Gnomes Gone Wild Tablescape

Our brother's granddaughter, Maya, and Pat worked together on this week's whimsical table setting a fun, garden-themed tablescape perfect for Spring.
And before anyone asks - no, I don't have any gnomes in my yard. The neighbors and my family already think I am a little "odd" what with the ginormous amount of dinnerware, flatware, glassware, and books that I own and store in every room of my house.....
Just a very small selection of gnomes that I own

The red mushroom sprouted....Pat and I went to TJMaxx and guess what I found? Yep. Another mushroom that I had to have. I added it to the table after I had taken the blog pictures and after Pat left since she is not quite the "gnome afficionado" and devotee that I am......
