Easter Is On The Way Tablescape

Easter tables are some of the most fun to come up with and set. That's probably why Pat loves this time of year and has more ideas for tablescapes than weeks to post them. Forget the gale force winds, driving rains, floods, power outages throughout the county, road closures and the occasional earthquake (fortunately nothing big - 3.6 to 4.5 magnitude) just the last seven days, none of that stopped Pat from this week's table....

Accent plates are "Elegant Gray Bunnies" from Pier 1

Pat used two chargers to add color. This one is a "Rose" Fiesta(ware) Chop Plate by Homer Laughlin
The other charger is a simple plastic charger (this one was thrifted) and then spray painted light gray
Glassware is from Pier 1 many years ago
Pat chose matte finish "Vault" stainless steel flatware by Gourmet Settings
Pat took napkins and made light weight place mats out of them
Simple centerpiece - premade arrangement with rustic bunnies to coordinate with the accent plates and place mats

Where it came from:
Place Mats - from Pier1 made from napkins
Gray Chargers - Lacquer chargers spray painted light gray to match the place mats
Pink Charger and Matching Bread/Butter Plates - "Rose" Fiesta(ware) chop plate from Replacements,Ltd.
Dinner Plate - "Martillo Almond" from Pier 1 seven or eight years ago

Lavender EasterTablescape

This week's table was inspired by the pastel place mats that Pat bought at our local Tuesday Morning shortly before it closed up two years ago. She paired them with lavender chargers and napkins to add lots of color to the table.
The white dinnerware is "Madeline" ironstone from Pier 1

The pale pink flatware is by Cambridge

The lavender chargers are simple lacquer chargers (any color) spray painted with plastic adhesive spray paint to match the napkin
Pat used asssorted green glasses from our Depressionware collection

The Easter trees were hand crafted by Pat

Where it came from:

Lavender Chargers - Lacquered place mats from Michael's spray painted to match the napkin
Dinnerware - "Madeline" from Pier 1 about ten years ago

What? Easter Tablescape Already?

We wanted to post an Easter table now just in case "things" get more whacky and we would not be able to do it later. Not only health issues (not just mine but Pat's husband), earthquakes (causing severe damage to Pat's house), weather (record breaking snow, wind, rain and serious flooding), road closures, damaged bridges, and if that wasn't enough, my sweet Dachshund passed away. What a lousy Winter this has been.

Well, the rain is suppose to stop tomorrow, Pat's husband has a pacemaker and is on the mend, and I can talk, write, and walk again....things are looking up. So let's start "over" by setting a fun table....

The cute bunny accent plates are from Pier 1
Flatware is "Sculpt" by Lenox
The dinner plate and matching bread and butter plate are "Daffodil" Fiesta(ware)
Pat brought out one of my favorite chargers - the round openwork plate from Maryland China Co.
Another favorite of mine is the yellow "Rio" goblet by Dansk

From the other end of the table

Where it came from:
Reversible Place Mat - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond last year
Charger - from the Maryland China Company several years ago
Dinnerware - "Daffodil" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's three years ago
Bunny Accent Plate- from Pier 1 five years ago
Flatware - "Sculpt" by Lenox from Tuesday Morning seven years ago
Water Glass - "Rio" by Dansk from Replacements,Ltd.
Gray Napkin - from Linentablecloth.com
Ceramic Centerpiece Bunnies - from TJMaxx three years ago

Winter Noritake Thurston Tablescape

What's with the weather in California?? It's wild that's what. Poor Pat...not just two destructive  earthquakes - one 6.4 and the other 5.6 - that severely damaged her home, floods and swollen rivers that nearly took out the bridge already damaged during the quake connecting a major road near her, and now, an extraordinary and  unheard of heavy snowstorm that has messed everything else up. You may have notice we did not post last week. Snow - very heavy and deep - snow was the reason. And now this week, it is raining - really, really raining. Just another fun day along the very northern coast of California.....

Lucky for us, our great-niece was here and came up with this week's tablescape. She used Noritake "Thurston" dinnerware along with a Pier 1 gold plate and a Fiesta "Sage" chop plate as the charger.

Flatware is satin-finish gold "Kyoto" by Holister

Glassware is our very sentimental "Esprit" by Princess House that Pat  and I purchased in our twenties.
The Armani figurine is one from our Mother's collection.
Pat made small arrangements of pink roses to go at each end of the table

One last look

Where it came from:
Lace Place Mats - from a local Department store long out of business
Charger - "Sage" Fiesta(ware) Chop Plate by Homer Laughlin from Replacements,Ltd.
Dinnerware - "Thurston" by Noritake from a local thrift store three or four years ago
Gold Plate - from Pier 1 six or seven years ago
Flatware - "Kyoto" by Holister from Wayfair seven years ago
Glassware - "Esprit" by Princess House years ago
Sheer Napkin Overlay - a gift from Pat years ago
Green Napkin - from Pier 1 six or seven years ago
Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond five or six years ago
