Pale Pink and Lime Green

The inspiration for this week's table came from the napkins Pat made several years ago. Pink and lime green may seem like an odd combination, but I think that the table turned out great.

Pat plans to serve Shrimp Cocktail in these sweet lotus blossom bowls - for us more "enlightened" vegan diners, we'll have marinated mushrooms....

I found these pale pink plates at Replacements - they are very durable and inexpensive

This Fiesta(ware) plate is sold at Kohl's as a luncheon plate. It is in the style of their "Bistro" pattern.

Another Replacements.com find - the perfect color for this table

Glassware is pale pink "Royal Pierpont" by Noritake

I told the story of this huge bowl in another posting:  Here

Edme Garden Club Table

One of our very favorite patterns to set a table with is Wedgwood's "Edme." Pat decided to use our "Edme Garden Club" luncheon plates this week after spotting a lace tablecloth in the closet.
Pat put down a bright green tablecloth to use as a liner before she put the lace one on the table

Chickens and Sunflowers Tablescape

This week's table was set just for fun (and, truth be told - to use accent plates that we have had around for a long time.)

I love the flatware - "French Rooster" by Cuisinart from Amazon

Pat's sweet husband cut these placemat "liners" from a roll of chicken wire

I promise that these glasses are squeaky clean. Pat makes me clean and "polish" all the glassware before they go on the table. It's just really overcast today (and currently 58 degrees outside) and hard to get any decent pictures.

Turquoise and Apricot Table

One of the more popular color combinations right now is blue and orange. Pat decided to set this week's table using a new set of flowered turquoise dishes she recently bought at Pier 1 and paired it with apricot.

Flatware is "Grand Colonial" by Wallace and was given to Pat and me by our very kind and generous Cousins

Pat layered a lace placemat on this apricot hemstitch placemat

Although this "Rosaline" glassware is called pink, it has orange tones and works well with this table

Where it came from:
Apricot Hemstitch Place Mat and matching napkin - from Pier 1 last year
Lace Placemat  - from Lentz Department Store (a local store now out of business) several years ago
Dinnerware - "Danielle's Flower" from Pier 1 this year
Flatware - "Grand Colonial" sterling silver by Wallace (a gift from our wonderful but dish-addicted Cousins)
Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond two years ago
Glassware - "Rosaline" by Cristal D'Arques-Durand from eBay and Replacements.com
Apricot Candles - from Pier 1 two years ago
Silk Flowers - from Michael's
