Silver and Snowflakes Tablescape

This week's New Year's Eve table is simple but elegant.  The theme is silver and snowflakes. Pat used nearly two dozen candles for the basis of the centerpiece and added blue and white balls in a silver bowl to complete it.
Overview of the table

The place setting
Flatware is King James Silverplate by Oneida

We found these silver snowflake accent plates at Pier 1 this year - we couldn't resist them

The platinum lined dinner plate is Reina by Noritake

Pat wrapped a strip of silver material around each charger for more interest

Two chargers were used - this one is blue glass by Bormioli

Another Pier 1 find this year - the Candlewick-like glass charger has a silver edging

Pat found this silver and blue snowflake material and had to make napkins out of it (folded in a traditional "Christmas Candle" fold.) She coupled it with a clear water goblet with etched lines and a blue Champagne trumpet glass.

Nutcracker Tablescape

Once again, I am having "BIG" problems with my new computer - but thanks to Pat's husband, Jim, I am borrowing his computer for this week's posting.

We were going to do this table a couple of weeks ago but got "side tracked." Since it is Christmas this week, this table was easy to do and quick. Pat raided my Nutcracker collection and the nutcracker plates that she bought for me and set the table.

The place setting
Flatware is "Gold Iconic" by Wallace Silver

Pat bought these great nutcracker accent plates from World Market

We haven't used these plates in a long time - from Maryland China Company

I "borrowed" these chargers from Pat's daughter several years ago......

The perfect Christmas color combination - red and green

Pat used a small nutcracker on a black napkin ring. The plaid overlay with a red napkin were both purchased at Pier 1 last year.

An assortment of colored tea light holders and small drums with tea lights surround the centerpiece

Pat couldn't resist using more nutcrackers

Peppermint Santa Tablescape

Sorry for the delay - this week's posting is very late.....but not because of us. It seems Google and my Internet Explorer decided that I didn't need to post. Wrong. After several days of "wrangling," I am finally able to get this week's table published. (Somehow they felt that my three week old computer was too "old" to support the Internet connection. And I'm the one who supposedly doesn't know anything about computers. Go figure.... )

Anyway, Pat was in a very Peppermint mood when she set the table this week.....

Pat added candy canes to the napkin ring

I've had this candy jar for almost forty years

For more peppermint to the table, Pat added a peppermint spoon to stir

Of course, peppermint swirl tea lights.....

Yes, it's Ralph, my three foot tall frog dressed as Santa joining the festivities....Pat borrowed her husband's Santa costume (Jim's a trooper - he is always letting us take some clothing item of his for Ralph - Thanks, Jim)

One last look from the other end of the table
