New Year's Eve Table

Time to put away the Christmas decorations and start to think of the new year. For this week, Pat set a glitzy table with mirrors and candles. She used Lenox "Blue Frost" dinnerware with its beautiful platinum trim to add more "shine."

Flatware is "Countryside" by Ricci - it is a large, simple and shiny stainless steel pattern that goes well

I don't know why anyone would wash good china in a dishwasher......I just don't want to chance it

Pat used a beautiful "wispy white" charger from Pier 1

Rustic Musical Christmas Table

Pat had lots of ideas for this week's table. Naturally, the table that she set was not one of them. She spotted a "Santascape" on my hall table and that became the inspiration for the blog tablescape.

Pat chose this mid-century inexpensive flatware. It was our Mother's "go to" extra flatware when unexpected company showed up (which happened all the time in our house growing up.)

This charger started out as an odd, ugly green color - Pat's wonderful husband spray painted 12 of them for us in this unique mocha color.

Where it came from:
Chocolate Brown Tablecloth - from Linentablecloth.com (an online site for inexpensive linens)
Mocha Colored Chargers - Inexpensive lacquer chargers spray painted
Black Chargers - "Black" Fiesta(ware) chop plate by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Dinner Plates - "Spice Route Paprika" from Pier 1 three or four years ago
Salad Plate - "Martillo Almond" from Pier 1 three or four years ago
Bread/Butter Plates - "Black" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Mocha Water Goblet - "Classic" by Libby from Kohl's years ago
Wine Glasses - "Entertain" from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago (but still available)
Flatware - from our Mother's collection
Pine Tree Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Rings - from Pier 1 four years ago
Elves - "Elves Themselves" by The Whitehurst Company from Wayfair
Christmas Tree and Ornaments - from Michael's
Santa - from our collection
