Celebrating New Years Eve Tablescape

In between huge storms of rain and hail [FYI: I am not complaining about the rain - we need it, but it came at an very inconvenient time], having no electricity (because of loose wires) or heat or hot water or phone all day, with electricians coming and going, the Utility company with a huge truck blocking the street and men working for hours in and around my house, and then the Internet/Cable/Phone guy showing up after the power was back on, Pat managed to get a table set before she had to go home to set her own table for a party she was having. What a experience!!!! When disaster strikes......everything seems to go down or fall apart at the same time. Well, anyway, everything is up and running now. Here's the table that my dear sister managed to set:
Classy, glitzy, and silver - that's the theme of this week's table (you can't see the water, mud, wires, etc. on the hardwood floors throughout the house.....)

Pat placed the napkins on a slight angle

Flatware is highly polished and ultra-modern stainless steel "Fluence" by Oneida

I couldn't resist these dishes this season - from Pier 1.

Pat paired the new dinnerware from Pier 1 with another purchase from there two years ago - the stainless steel charger has a decorative etched edge

Since the table needed just a "bit" more glitz, Pat used these interesting woven metallic place mats

Neither Pat nor I could resist the stainless steel drinkware - also from Pier 1. I gotta stay out of that store.......well, maybe.....

Stainless steel candle holders with crystals - from TJMaxx this Christmas season. Pat sprinkled imitation "diamonds" around the table to add more "show"

Pat found these heavy votive holders at Tuesday Morning years ago

Golden Christmas Table

Our last Christmas table of the season is set in off-white and gold. Pat wanted to finally use these gold wire trees that she found at Pier 1 several years ago on the "after Christmas sale" shelf.

'Twas the Night Before Christmas Table

Pat's inspiration for this week's table was taken from Clement Clark Moore's immortal poem "The Visit" or more commonly known as "Twas the Night Before Christmas."

Bright and cheery, this table captures the spirit of a fun Christmas

Ceramic handled "Primary" flatware is by Noritake

We found these dishes on the sale shelf at Pier 1 two years ago

Pat used two "elves" for the centerpiece

This is Walter, one of Santa's older elves, reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas"

Old books covered in brown wrapping paper raised the trees slightly

Ski Santa Tablescape

Having no snow in our area for years (Eureka sits on the Pacific coast of California almost six hours north of San Francisco,) Pat took a leap of faith (or maybe wishful thinking?) and set the table this week with fun in the snow as the theme.
The table

Flatware is "Everyday" by Reed & Barton

I love these glasses - Olive Green "Diamond Point" by Indiana Glass Company

Pat used small snow sleds as part of the napkin ring/name tag.
