Mardi Gras Celebration Table

Usually subtle and understated when designing a tablescape, Pat cast all inhibitions aside and set this week's table with loads of color and glitz in celebration of Mardi Gras.

The place setting

Pat used a clear napkin ring and added the colorful Mardi Gras mask ornament

Sorry the picture is not good - this is a purple glass charger

Pat used a purple water goblet and green champagne flute to add more color

Pat used dozens of strands of beads and colorful garland for the centerpiece

Lenox "The Colonial" Tablescape

This is the last week of our month-long blue and white tablescapes - we are finishing up with one of my all time favorite patterns. It is called "The Colonial" by Lenox. Yes, we have a lot of dishes, and yes, I have a lot of  "favorites," but this one is absolutely gorgeous - at least to me. Pat mixed it up a bit using two chargers and inexpensive glassware.
Lenox "The Colonial" was manufactured from 1920 through 1948 - not exactly a "modern" pattern. I love the delicate floral swags and urns on the rim.

Flatware is "Gold Iconic" by Wallace

The off-white charger is "Mansfield" by Lenox

The bright blue metal chargers are from Pier 1
