Anyway, here's the table that Pat came up with for this week:
Formal (and yes, slightly glitzy) is the theme for this week

Flatware is one of our favorites (and one that we have had for a very long time) - "Gold Iconic" by Wallace
|
The cut-crystal biscuit jar is a close match to the glassware

Here's where it came from:
Green Charger - inexpensive lacquer charger from Michael's that was spray painted with plastic adhesive spray paint
Dinnerware - "Malachite" from Maryland China Company several years ago
Flatware - "Gold Iconic" by Wallace from Replacements.com
Glassware - "Lady Diamond" by Cristal D'Arques from Ross, eBay, and Replacements
Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Crystal Napkin Rings - from our Mother (many, many years old)
Cut Crystal Biscuit Jar Centerpiece - from our Mother's collection
Gold Vase Bowls - from Pier 1 two years ago
Triple Candle Holders - from Art & Old Things (a fabulous local antique store)
14" Tapers - from The Ferndale Emporium (another great local boutique)

Loving those dishes ladies and the stemware!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful table setting. The plates are so elegant, along with the beautiful stemware. I love gold flatware, so rich and elegant.
ReplyDeleteAnyone would be honored to be a guest at this table. Thank you for sharing at DI&DI.

Wow! Talk about fine dining! Absolutely stunning table. How ever do you get your tablecloth to look so perfect? Even with ironing, my cloths do not look like that. Every choice on this table comes together for sheer perfection. Guests would be thrilled to dine here. Well done. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch
ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent St. Patrick's Day tablescape without really being all St. Patrick-ish! I love the green plates and the way you have the napkins with the elegant napkin rings. All the crystal and flowers add up to one sophisticated Irish table! Love it!
ReplyDeleteFormal yes. Beautiful and stunning yes. A magnificent tablescape.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table. The gold flatware looks so rich next to the green place settings. Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Just gorgeous! I LOVE everything about this table!
ReplyDeleteI remember when I found out that there were bloggers who shared my dish obsession and that I could join a party if I started a blog, and Kathleen was one of the first I found also! Your table is wonderful because it can work for so many occasions, not jut SPD! I am especially loving the crystal! Linda
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! It is nice to see a formal St. Patrick's table setting! I have to put it on my to do list for next year!
ReplyDeleteThat is just beautiful! You don't know how many times I wanted to order that china from Maryland. I just couldn't do it! I have too much, and I am too old to keep buying china! :( I do have one setting of Fitzgerald by Noritake that I got for 3.00 when the outlet sold off the floor sample! The table looks fit for a King, or least President of Ireland. Thanks so much for your kind words and taking part in the SPD blog crawl! It is so good to see you girls again!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous tablescape! The "Malachite" is some of the prettiest china I've seen. Love the look with the gold details of the rim and the flatware. Well done!
