As we scramble to file our taxes before April 18th, it occurred to us that it would be a great tablescaping theme (yeah, I know....weird but different.) Pat pulled out the old place mats that she made and the money bags she bought when she gave a party/dinner for me after my retirement (Pat's theme for that party?? but of course is would be "Living Off the Public Dole From Now On") and came up with the table for this week.
Our great-niece came up with the color combination of "Apricot" and "Periwinkle" Fiesta(ware). We are going to miss her. She graduates next month from Cal Poly Humboldt and is moving to Boston to continue her educationPat bought the flatware this week at Costco - "Pinch" by Mikasa
Glasses are "Picardy" from Pier 1 several years ago
Authentic money bags act as the centerpiece
The place mats are made from old 1040's ripped and decoupaged onto heavy craft paper
Where it came from:
Place Mats - Handmade years ago
Dinnerware - "Periwinkle" and "Apricot" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements,Ltd. and eBay (both colors are retired)
Flatware - "Pinch" by Mikasa from Costco this month
Glassware "Picardy" from Pier 1 seven or eight years ago
Apricot Hemstitch Napkins - from Pier 1 six or seven years ago
This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch: http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
Wonderfully imaginative.
