Casual Fiesta(ware)Table

I'm not a big fan of Fiesta(ware) but I have to admit that it is versatile and mixes well. The color combinations are almost infinite. You can dress it up or play it down. [Confession time - as I write this blog, there are four boxes of Fiesta in the new color "Mulberry" sitting in my living room waiting to be unpacked. I didn't buy it - Pat bought it - although I do love the color. I am just "storing it" along with all the other Fiesta(ware) that we own.]

Pat pulled out some vintage (discontinued) Fiesta and some current colors and created a fun, casual table for this week.

Pat first  placed three matching runners

Flatware is "Musee" by Reed & Barton

Pat started with a "Periwinkle" Fiesta(ware) salad plate

Sorry the picture is not better - this is an "Ivory" Fiesta(ware) luncheon plate

Next is a "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) dinner plate - Lapis is July's Color of the Month on the Homer Laughlin Fiesta blog (Here)

The distressed sage green chargers are from Pier 1

Another "work horse" in our collection - blue goblets from the Dollar Tree

The centerpiece is simple - just a lantern and two small flower arrangements. That way you can see the table runners better.

You know Pat - the candle colors had to coordinate with the table.

One last look from the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Plaid Table Runners - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond sale shelf this year
Green Charger - from Pier 1 two years ago (but I saw some in the store the other day)
Dinner Plate - "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Macy's (currently available)
Luncheon Plate - "Ivory" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Kohl's (currently available)
Salad Plate - "Periwinkle" Fiesta(ware) (1989-2006) by Homer Laughlin from eBay
Bread/Butter Plate - "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Flatware - "Musee" by Reed & Barton from Horchows two or three years ago
Glassware - from the Dollar Tree (still available)
Blue Glass Votive Holders - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Sage Green Centerpiece Bowls - from the Dollar Tree three or four years ago
Lantern - from Pier 1 two or three years ago
Candles and Tea Lights - from Michael's

  3. I do love some blue! And I really like the colors in the table runner, and how they are picked up in the plate stack. Can't go wrong with lanterns, either. This is a great, inviting table, I'd love to be your welcomed guest (if I weren't so far away!).
