Ice Crystal New Year's Tablescape

The new year is just around the corner and it's time to say good-bye to 2012. The table is set for celebrating - tux, tails, and ties set the mood. Granted - our table is not your usual formal tablescape for a New Year's table - but, nonetheless, one that is classy and clever.
Over view of the table
Close up of the place setting
The first layer is our guest of honor dressed to the "nines"
Second layer is a simple square white salad plate
Third layer is a square black plate from World Market
Pat placed the mirror placemats vertically for a change
Flatware is called "Pure" by Gourmet Settings
Multi-faceted crystal is from Crystal d'Arques
Pat used three different crystal candle holders to add sparkle
Glass bricks look like very large ice cubes
Silver napkin rings hold simple black rolled napkins
One last look

Best wishes for a very Happy New Year!

  1. This sounds like a stunning tablescape for New Year's celebrations! The ice crystal theme is elegant and perfect for winter festivities — I imagine clear glass, metallic accents, and cool blue tones coming together to create a frosty, magical look. Tablescaping is such a wonderful way to set the mood for a special occasion. What elements did the post suggest for achieving the ice crystal look — any specific centerpiece ideas or lighting tips?
