Halloween and Spiders Tablescape

Pat and I spent another wonderful day with our great-niece this weekend. We are really blessed that she wants to spend some of her precious time with us "oldies." [She is working on a double major at our local University taking 19 units, works five days a week at a local High School, is on the Speech and Debate Team, takes in rescue dogs, and generally is one really accomplished straight-A student and person.] Of course, we set a table - this one was completely designed by her.
I am so sorry that the correct color of the tablecloth does not show - it is the same color as the "Lemongrass" dinnerware and napkins but the weather was so gray outside that I was lucky just to get pictures.

Flatware is "gothic-looking" San Remo by Hampton Forge

The dinnerware is "Lemongrass" and "Mulberry" Fiesta(ware

Pat and I found these glittered black chargers at TJMaxx a few years ago
The classic "Madeira" goblets by Franciscan work perfectly

The centerpiece is simple Halloween black wired trees surrounded by assorted  spiders
From the other end of the table

Where it came from:
Lemongrass Tablecloth and Napkins - from Linentablecloth.com (a real neat site for inexpensive table linen and wedding supplies)
Spider Tablecloth - from Michael's years ago
Glittered Black Chargers - from TJMaxx three years ago
Dinnerware - "Lemongrass" and "Mulberry" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from various places
Flatware - "San Remo" by Hampton Forge from Horchow three or four years ago
Glassware - "Madeira" by Franciscan (1972-1976) from Pat's collection
Napkin Rings - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Lemongrass colored Candles - from the Ferndale Emporium (a local houseware and gift store)
Candle Holders - from our Depression glass collection
Halloween Trees - from Pier 1 years ago
Assorted Spiders - from the Dollar Tree this year

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  2. I love everything about this table except the spiders. I can't stand them and won't use them even in Halloween decor. You are welcome to use them, however, I just won't save the picture! :-) The colors are great, I love the glittery chargers and the centerpiece trees. Happy Halloween to all!

  3. Somehow the lemongrass color really increases the spooky quotient of the table setting. Those lemongrass plates almost glow!

  4. Fancy silver tone plastic napkin rings are great for adding a touch of elegance to any table setting. Perfect for sliding onto paper napkins or cloth napkins at family gatherings, weddings, receptions, reunions, and other large gatherings or regular use.
