Crabless Crab Tablescape

Since both commercial and recreational dungeness crab seasons are closed along the coast of Northern California, no fresh crab is available, but Pat wanted to set this week's table to show our crab cocktail/small crab louie bowls off. She used colorful Scarlett and White Fiesta dinnerware to give the table a rustic and casual feel.

Flatware is extra large "Vintage Countryside" by Ricci

Lenox Westchester Summer Tablescape

While visiting a few days ago, Pat's daughter met her Mom at my house to "play" with dishes. She  quickly took one of my favorite Lenox patterns - "Westchester" - and set the table for this week's blog.

Jen used two chargers - this one is "Mansfield" by Lenox
The second charger is an inexpensive lacquer charger spray painted lavender to match the napkins and some of the flowers on the place mats.

The gold trimmed glassware is from Pier 1 five or six years ago

Summer Seaside Tablescape

With temperatures hovering in the mid to high sixties [yeah, I know everyone else is suffering with extreme high temperatures, but remember, although our summers are mostly pleasant, dry and not too warm, we have devastating forest fires and the humidity is miserable throughout the season. Then  winter is soggy wet with 35-40 inches of rain annually, no sun even on rainless days due to fog, severe  mudslides and road closures are frequent all over the county, not to mention add in numerous earthquakes all year long. So it evens out....], Pat decided that a seaside table was the perfect theme for this week's blog. {Oh, yeah, I forgot, add in a tsunami once in a while after an earthquake "just for fun" and you've got it all...}
