Spode Buttercup Updated Tablescape

Inspiration for this week's table comes from ultra modern glassware from Pier 1 called "Urban Sable" produced from 2013 through 2014. Pat paired it with classic Spode "Buttercup" produced from 1924 to 2003.

The Argent "Sofia Gold" flatware matches perfectly with the gold buttercups on the dinnerware

Pat selected a glittery silver glass charger from Pier 1 to base the place setting

Ultramarine Swirl Depression Glass Tablescape

Pat and I had a fun weekend setting tables with Pat's daughter who was here visiting before we went shopping buying things we didn't need. One of the tables was set using our "Ultra Marine Swirl" Depression Glass by Jeannette Glass Company manufactured from 1937 through 1938.
The simple place setting sets the Depression Glass off - sleek, narrow handled stainless steel flatware adds to the look

The centerpiece consists of the creamer and sugar bowl and salt and pepper shaker on a matching salver

Updated Heinrich "Sepia" Tablescape

Pat decided to challenge herself this week by using a somewhat nondescript set of German porcelain dinnerware that we haven't used in years and update it to add more color and style. By adding mirror place mats and red accents, the table becomes vivid and lively.

The off-white porcelain plate has gray flowers and is trimmed in gold
Pat used a Depression Glass dinner plate to add more detail

The Chinese Red Charger is an inexpensive plastic charger (you can always find them at thrift stores and yard sales) spray painted with plastic-adhesive spray paint to match the glassware and flatware
Glassware is "Midnight Rouge" by Artland

The glitzy napkin ring adds lots of needed sparkle to the place setting
An assortment of glittery balls adds more "glam"
