Autumn is upon us and the weather is turning cold. Pat always sets a table this time of year using her "Mallard Quintessential Game" dinnerware by Queen's - many in her husband's family are avid duck hunters (much to my vegetarian heart's chagrin) and enjoy using these dishes for shared family meals. Since I store them at my house, and Covid-19 is preventing family gatherings, Pat decided to use them for this week's tablescape.

ReplyDeleteI love this table. I don't have anything green, but this is so peaceful that it makes me wish I did. I find that I really like transferware patterns lately, too. So many colors to 'pick up' and accent with napkins, etc. My late sister-in-law loved and collected green glass and this brought back memories of a few holiday dinners in her home years ago. When she passed away, my brother did not wish to maintain all of her many collectibles and so items were distributed among family and friends. I have not seen her lovely green glasses and goblets for many years. I hope that we may all enjoy lovely Thanksgiving celebrations with pretty tables, even if our groups are a bit smaller than usual!
