Rustic Autumn Tablescape

Recently, Pat and I made a trip into our local Pier 1 Imports store and found some really neat accent plates that "we couldn't live without" (oh, if I had a nickel for every time I said that....) Pat paired them with some other previously purchased finds from Pier 1 and elsewhere and came up with the table for this week's blog.

Flatware is my old everyday "Iron Brown" ceramic handled flatware by Noritake that I have had for forty years

The accent plate looks equally good with "Claret" Fiesta(ware)

Pat decided to use "Martillo Almond" dinnerware from Pier 1 since we used Fiesta(ware) last week

Pat "scored" when she found these glasses at a local thrift store.

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Place Mat and Coordinating Napkin - from Target this season
Charger - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond years ago (Pier 1 had similar ones a few years ago)
Dinner Plate - "Martillo Almond" from Pier 1 three or four years ago
Accent/Salad Plate - "Harvest Village" Salad plate from Pier 1 Imports this year
Flatware - "Iron Brown" by Noritake from Walsh's (a local store long out of business)
Brown Glassware - "Woodland" by Fostoria (1976-1981) from Tailwaggers (a local thrift store that supports our community no-kill animal shelter) and from Replacements.com
Napkin Rings - simple PVC pipe cut into 1" rounds and spray painted with brown plastic adhesive spray paint
Brown Lanterns - from Pier 1 this season

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday:  http://www.rustic-refined.com/

  1. I really like those accent plates, with the drawings of pumpkins in the field, and they are perfect with all the brown touches on this table. I especially like the brown lanterns as centerpieces, and the subdued yet rich tones of the plaid placemats. A lovely table for late fall - Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

  2. An exceptionally elegant table. I would love to sit there and talk with friends and loved ones. Thanks for sharing.
