Winter Eclectic Tablescape

I love the word "eclectic." It's a more formal and socially acceptable way to say that we wanted to use stuff that we haven't used before or in a very long time for this week's tablescape. Besides, it was great fun (and sometimes surprising) to pull out dishes and glassware that have been relegated to a back shelf or the garage for a very long time.
Over view of the table

The place setting

Flatware is Argent "Sofia" Green

Pat used a sage green placemat to "anchor" the setting followed by a wicker-like mat to add texture

We've had these chargers for a very long time - "Vermicelli" by Spode. Originally we bought them to go with Pat's Spode "Buttercup" dinnerware

Sorry the picture isn't too good - the plate is actually a dark olive green

The accent plate has olive green, teal, gold, red, and orange. We bought them to use with several of our more colorful dinner plates

We've also wanted to use this water goblet for a long time - "Diamond Point" by the Indiana Glass Co.

Pat took the small vegetable/berry bowl in the same pattern as the water goblet and used it as a tea light holder

One last look from the other end of the table

  1. This table has me thinking spring. I love the colorful accent plate and that verdant centerpiece. Let's hope Mother Nature sees fit to bring your tablescape colors to our landscape soon!

  3. This might be my favorite one you've posted so far! I love this!

  4. I think it looks great! Are the accent plates marked? I have been looking for some that have both teal and orange, and these look like they might work.

  5. Gorgeous table! I really love the green glassware, and the pretty patterned plates add such interest. The dining chairs look so comfy! Do your guests ever leave? :-)

  6. I love the color scheme! That's such a beautiful setting and those pieces are just
awesome! I'm new to your blog and glad I stopped by!

  7. I always go hunting for your tablescapes first on Tablescape Thursday, and you never disappoint! I love the colors you have put together. I'm drooling over that flatware, especially. I also love the way you have coordinated the wicker placemats with the grapevine balls. Well done, ladies!!! Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  8. Can I come and play in your garage? You always have a wonderful table. One day I hope you will show us where you store all your SRUFF!
