Thanksgiving - Formal Tablescape

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it's time to set the table with fall themes. Pat wanted to use the Pier One covered pumpkin soup bowls this year (bought last year toward the end of the season) with the matching soup tureen. She came up with a Thanksgiving table in traditional fall colors that is just a little bit "over the top" for her. Nothing fancy as far as the centerpiece goes - simple and understated but the place settings are gorgeous.

Pat used burnt orange colored placemats and matching candles as the basis for the tablescape

The soup bowl with lid is from Pier One
These amber colored water and wine goblets are also from Pier One
Gold flatware works perfectly with the place setting
Amber colored  candle holders are Depressionware
The soup tureen acts as the centerpiece
These fantastic pumpkin-shaped napkin rings were a Pier One find also
No matter what I did , these highly glazed porcelain plates acted as a mirror
The chargers are actually amber Depressionware sandwich plates

Just another close up of the place setting
The soup tureen liner is actually an inexpensive charger that Pat's husband sprayed brown and then varnished
Just too cute......
Miniature pumpkins from Pat's garden add a touch of Fall to the table
Pat used three layers of napkins to create the right look
One last look from the other end of the table
