This week's table features Arita's "Imari Fan" dinnerware. It has several colors - green, white, rust, cobalt blue, and light blue - so it was fairly easy to build a colorful table around it. In fact, it was harder to decide what "theme" color to go with once the place setting was selected.
Pat finally decided on amber - Maya (our brother's granddaughter) came up with the place setting. As usual, I fought the cat trying to keep him out of everyone's hair and neither he nor I offered a suggestion.I found the gold flatware on eBay many years ago - the seller did not know the pattern.
The luncheon plate is "Martillo Sky" from Pier 1
The frosted light blue chargers are from Pier 1
The amber glassware is "Meadow" from Pier 1
Our brother brought this back from Japan where he was briefly stationed as a gift for our Mom - it is at least fifty years old.
Where it came from:
Paprika Colored Place Mats and Matching Napkins - Tuesday Morning years ago
Light Blue Frosted Glass Chargers - from Pier 1 years ago
Dinnerware - "Imari Far" by Aritaware from eBay
Luncheon Plate - "Martillo Sky" from Pier 1 ten years ago
Flatware - Pattern unknown but from eBay
Glassware - Amber "Meadow" from Pier 1 about six years ago
Gold Flower and Pearl Napkin Rings - also from Pier 1 many years ago
Oriental Jade Centerpiece - a gift from our brother fifty or sixty years ago
Geisha Figurines - from Toscano (mail order) ten or eleven years ago
Votive Holders - from Michael's six or seven years ago
This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch: http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
