Blue January Tablescape

With record breaking high surf and high tides triggering flood warnings and beach closings in Southern California, weather is once again on most people's minds. We, in coastal Northern California, are waiting for heavy rain storms and strong sustained winds to hit today. Fun times....

So this inspired Pat to create a seaside tablescape for this week's blog. She had already decided that January would be a "blue" month - one that she would set tables with a blue theme (she has done that in the past) which is her favorite color. She selected vintage "Cobalt" Fiesta(ware) and Pier1's Pelican accent plate for the basis of the table.

The bright "Sunflower" Fiesta(ware) butter plate adds some additional color to the table

Flatware is "Nautical" by Towle Everyday

Glassware is our "turn to" blue goblets from the Dollar Tree

Pat used an assortment of shells, starfish, and glass rocks to fill a weathered box for the centerpiece
