Summertime Picnic Tablescape

Although the temperature outside reads "partly sunny 60 degrees" [10:30 AM on a Tuesday], it's suppose to get to a warm 64 degrees this afternoon - perfect for a picnic - albeit an indoor one because an off-shore cold wind and overcast skies will be developing....but this is our weather and we live with it. Pat set the table this week using fun dinnerware and a few "accent" pieces to set the outdoor mood.
The tablecloth is a very heavy denim handmade by Pat years ago.

Flatware is satin finish stainless steel "Vault" by Gourmet Settings
Pat bought two or three dozen of these appetizer plates from Pier 1 on sale years ago for picnics.
The dinnerware stack is all "Fiesta(ware)" - Black, White and Scarlett
We also found these galvanized metal chargers at Pier 1 (oh, how I miss our local Pier 1 store)

Just to remind dinner guest what it's like outdoors...
Pat used our "hamburger" salt and peppers sets

One last look

Where it came from:
Denim Tablecloth - Handmade by Pat
Metal Charger - from Pier 1 three or four years ago
Dinnerware - "Fiesta(ware)" by Homer Laughlin from Macy's, Kohl's and Replacements, Ltd.

Water Tumbler - "Our Table" from Bed, Bath, and Beyond this year
Beer Mug - from the Dollar Tree (always available)

Napkin Ring - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond years ago
Ant decorations - from a local kitchen and gift boutique store years ago

  2. This is so cute! I love the idea of bringing a picnic inside- that we be perfect for us these days with highs in the 90s!
