Me and my big mouth! Last week I "mentioned" an earthquake "if we were lucky" to add to our Winter woes of weather. Well, needless to say.....we experienced a 6.2 earthquake today with last count 38 aftershocks of up to 4.3 magnitude. Special. Just special. I am not going to say a word about the threat of a tsunami striking.....just some rock slides closing roads caused by the quake, lots of broken windows and glass, stuff off shelves. etc. Most of the damage was in the Southern part of the county close to Pat. Fortunately, she and her husband are fine but stuff inside their house was not as "lucky. Much of their Christmas decorations, trees, etc. were toppled, damaged or destroyed. No broken glass or windows this time....
Enough of that! Let's talk tablescaping. Pat set this week's table using fun accent plates that she purchased from World Market several years ago.
Pat started with Pier 1's faux leather reversible place mats in beigeFlatware is Kate Spade's "All in Good Taste" by Lenox
One of our last purchases from our local Pier 1 before it closed, we bought both the dinner plate and salad plate in this pattern.

Pat handmade the napkin rings: 1" PVC pipe spray painted with black plastic adhesive spray paint and then a nutcracker ornament hot-glued on top

Fantastic table! Really like the plaid in the dinner plate and napkin. All the elements integrate so well. Thank you for this. Have a very Merry Christmas ladies!
ReplyDeleteAll of you lovely ladies and those fab nutcrackers survived the earth quake we are relieved to hear from your report.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your earthquake and other weather problems, but glad no one was injured. I learned to never say “what could happen next” because I always found out! Your table is wonderful. Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry Pat had damage from the earthquake but I, too, am glad no one was injured. I love your table, especially the Nutcracker plates with the music background. And the plaid touches, too, I always love plaid. I hope your Christmas was merry in spite of the weather and earthquakes.
