With anticipation and joy, the idea of sharing a Memorial Day meal with the family has finally become a reality. Here in California, facial masks are still required indoors but not at your residence - and, best of all, everyone who will be attending has been vaccinated. So, we are "good to go" as they say - safe and protected.
We are using a Memorial Day red, white, and blue table that Pat's daughter set for us. She was inspired by the paisley napkins and her love of Fiesta dinnerware.
Where it came from:
Red Hemstitch Place Mat - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond years ago
Denim Place Mat - Handmade by Pat
White Charger - from the Maryland China Company (mail order)
Dinnerware - All Fiesta(ware) from Macy's, Replacements, and Kohl's
Small Covered Soup Tureen - from Pier 1 a few years ago
Flatware - "Classic Bead" by Reed & Barton from Tuesday Morning five years ago
Water Goblet - from the Dollar Store (still available)
Red Goblet - from Pier 1 several years ago
Paisley Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Ring - Inexpensive PVC pipe cut into rounds and spray painted with plastic adhesive paint
White Lanterns - from Michael's two years ago
This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch: http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
