Casual Mikasa Silk Flowers Tablescape

Pandemic. Pandemonium. Perfidiousness. Prevarication. Presidents.....What a week this has been - no matter what "side" you are on. It's been a wild ride outside.....Pat just wanted to set an easy, casual table that made her feel good to look at and to feel calm and safe. She chose Mikasa"s "Silk Flowers" (a set of dishes for ten that we got at the ridiculously low price of $10 at the Cancer Society's thrift shop a few years ago) and went to work.
Pat mixed pink and teal (using the colors from the dinnerware) and a rustic place mat to add interest

Flatware is glossy "Addison" by Mikasa

Love the shape of the cup and saucer
Glassware is from Pier 1 two years ago

Naturally, Pat made an arrangement of "silk flowers" for the centerpiece
The Ultra Marine "Swirl" candle holders by Jeannette Glass Company are part of our Depression glass collection

One last look from the other end of the table

Where it cam from:
Sisal-like Place Mats - from Pier 1 two or three years years ago
Dinnerware - "Silk Flowers" by Mikasa from the Cancer Society's Discovery Thrift Store
Glassware - Green "Meadow" from Pier 1 two years ago
Flatware - "Addison" by Mikasa from Costco last year
Silver Butterfly Napkin Rings - from Tuesday Morning four years ago
Napkins - from our collection
Candle Holders - Ultra Marine "Swirl" Depression Glass by Jeanette (1937-1938) from our collection
Large Vase - from Pat's collection

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
