Bird Watching Tablescape

Pat wanted to set a fun table this week - what with record breaking high temperatures, warnings of possible rolling power outages at any time, alarmingly high increase in the number of Covid-19 cases, and not much going on outside of the house (except several small recurring earthquakes every couple of days) - it seemed like a great idea.....

Flatware is rustic "Montana" by Gourmet Settings

Pat used two napkins - gold and chocolate brown - to add interest

Dinnerware is the charming "Field Notes" from Pier 1 a few years ago

Glassware is "Espresso" by Lenox

Pat cut stems from her Harry Louder Walking Stick (Corylus avellana Contorta) for the centerpiece

Of course, a pair of binoculars and a camera are a must for table decorations

From the other end of the table
 Where it came from:
Wooden Chargers - from Pier 1 four or five years ago
Dinnerware - "Field Notes" from Pier 1 three years ago
Bread and Butter Plate - "Brown" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements.com
Flatware - "Montana" by Gourmet Settings from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Glassware - "Espresso" by Lenox gifted from Pat's daughter
Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Rings - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond four or five years ago

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  1. What a delightfully calming and lovely table! It does make me miss Pier 1 more than ever - that bird print dinnerware is beautiful. We are feeling the effects of the heat here in New Mexico too. Our monsoon season was a bust, so it is hot and dry, although lately clouds have been rolling in in the afternoon (no rain yet though). Luckily I am happily busy here at home so I don't miss going to town too much. I hope you get some heat and Covid-19 relief soon (the former will probably happen before the latter, unfortunately). Take care, and stay safe!
