Oktoberfest Tablescape

To celebrate the world's largest beer festival and fair, this week's table features the traditional German Oktoberfest colors of blue and white. Nearly seven million people attended last year and drank nearly  eight million liters of beer. It's a time for fun and food.

We always pull out the "European-style" flatware for Oktoberfest - "Pendulum" by Robert Welch

Pat used "Peacock" and "White" Fiesta(ware) to capture the true colors of Oktoberfest

Instead of water goblets, Pat used inexpensive beer mugs from the Dollar Store

A small beer mug was added to the napkin ring for interest

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Place Mat - Handmade by Pat
Charger - from the Maryland China Company (mail order)
Dinnerware - White and Peacock "Fiesta(ware)" by Homer Laughlin from Macy's and Replacements.com (Bread/Butter plates are really hard to find - Replacements has a great selection of vintage Fiesta(ware) for us crazy dish collectors)
Flatware - "Pendulum" by Robert Welch from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Beer Glass - from the Dollar Store
Napkin - from Pier 1 three years ago
Small Beer Stein - from TJMaxx two years ago
Candles - from the Ferndale Emporium (a local kitchen and gift store)
Assorted Beer Steins - from our collection

We will be joining the following Blog parties this week:
"Dishing It! & Digging It!" at Rustic & Refined this Sunday:  http://www.rustic-refined.com/ "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  3. Hush UP!!! Too cute with that little beer mug as a part of the napkin ring!!! That was a super idea! I didn't even know beer mugs came so tiny. Good for tastings, I would imagine. Eight million liters of beer consumed by 7 million people, huh? I had a brother-in-law who could do that in one sitting! ;-) Oktoberfest is truly one of the most fun parts of the fall season with all the food and drink and activities. You did it much justice with this tablescape!

  6. Those beer stines are so fun! We have a set from Germany that say "life is better with beer" in German. Prost!
