Beating the Winter Time Blues

Me and my big mouth (or should I say, me and my fingers on the computer....) Last week, I was bemoaning about the weather and how bad it has been. Well, I may have spoken a little too soon. It's worse now.....It is pouring outside - a virtual deluge of rain, wind, hail, thunder, and lightening. Water is standing everywhere in the yard. The gutters are overflowing. Huge puddles of rain cover the streets. What a mess. And it is predicted to last for five or six more days with rivers flooding throughout the area. So - while I was complaining about last month, it seems that it was really only a prelude for this month.

At least Pat and I both came to the same conclusion that this week's table has to be anything but "winter" themed. With no apologies for the bright Spring colors, here it what she came up with:
No sign of Winter at this table.....

Pat layered "Peacock,"" Sunflower," and "Shamrock" Fiesta(ware). The Bread/Butter plate is also "Peacock" Fiesta.

You can always count on Michael's (Arts & Crafts) to have their Spring flowers and supplies on the shelf in Winter.

From the other end of the table

  1. Thank you for such a cheerful springlike table! We have been having unusually warm weather lately here in Georgia, but rain is headed our way soon, so bright colors are appreciated. Once the holidays are over I am ready to move on to spring, but unfortunately January and February are always the coldest and dreariest months here, so I will follow your advice and decorate the great indoors with brighter colors and flowers. I hope that all of your rain has at least alleviated the drought conditions in California at bit!
