Pat decided to set a fun table using Gingerbread cookies as the theme. Here's what she came up with:
Gingerbread Santa came with his own cookbooks, but Pat added a three more.

These authentic looking gingerbread cookies are actually ornaments we have had for years. They sit on a sage "Fiesta(ware)" appetizer plate
|
Pat really wanted to use these - they have been part of our family's Christmas tradition since we were kids (and we are both in our 60's now.......)

I love gingerbread, and this table is so much fun. Those ornaments on the plate look so luscious that I thought they were the real thing! The centerpiece is so creative and festive -- I really need to attempt more interesting centerpieces for my own table. And usually I am too lazy, but I think I am going to have to bake some gingerbread cookies now!
ReplyDeleteThose gingerbread are so darn cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute! I should've had some gingerbread men like that for my tablescape last week. I like the layers and colors of the dishes you put together and the chocolate handles on the flatware- perfect! Best wishes to you and Pat for a very Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun....your table is so adorably cute. I love all of the gingerbread and your cookie chefs as centerpieces as perfect. The cookies look delicious too. So whimsical and the ideal setting for children and adults alike.
