Memorial Day Table

Memorial Day is a day set aside to remember those who died while in the military service of our country. Pat wanted to set the tone of the table to match the meaning of the holiday - solemn and with respect and gratitude.
The table was set in a traditional red, white, and blue color theme.

Pat used tiny square condiments holders to raise the napkin slightly on the plate.

Here's the napkin - unfolded - it took a little "work" to get only the stars to show. A big thank you to Pat's husband who managed to do it.

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Blue Placemats - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Flatware - by Cambridge from Pier 1 last year
White dinner Plate - "Everyday" by Food Network from Kohl's
Red Salad Plate - "Fun Factory" by Waechtersbach from eBay
Bed/Butter Plate - Vintage "Cobalt" Fiesta by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Napkins - from WalMart this season
Blue Water Glass - from Mervyn's Department Store years ago
Red Goblet - from the Ferndale Emporium (a local gift boutique)
Clear Champagne Glasses - from the Dollar Store
Red Candle Holders and Large Blue Bowl - from Ross

  1. Beautiful table ladies and I am loving those napkins. I can't believe how hard it must have been to try and figure out how to showcase the right spot of that beautiful flag.

    Good job!
