The table uses a soft shade of apricot |
Flatware is "April" silverplate |
Notice the beautiful rim of the plate in addition to the soft pastel colors - it looks just as good with a baby blue charger.
|
Each place setting had a small pitcher with apricot colored roses |
Pat recently found these beautiful candle holders at the "Discovery Shop" (the Cancer Society's Thrift Store). |
I walked into Pier 1 the other day and lo and behold! They had these beautiful apricot colored candles..... |
Remember these??? Anyone who ever attended a "Princess House" glass party years ago would have seen these - "Esprit" crystal water and wine goblets. |
The vintage luncheon napkins were a gift from our cousin years ago
|
From the other end of the table |

Apricot Chargers - Inexpensive lacquer chargers on sale after season from Michael's and painted
Vintage Luncheon Napkins - a gift from our Cousin
Small White Pitchers - from TJMaxx last year
Silk Flowers - from Michael's
Apricot Candles - from Pier 1
Candle Holders - from the "Discovery Shop" (our local Cancer Society Thrift Store)

Pretty table with all the beautiful dishes. The color is soothing . The peach colored roses adds charm and elegance. Love the table mats and the flatware's. Very inspiring and flowers in the middle so very lovely. Plz do drop by my blog too. Hugs Sujatha:)
ReplyDeleteI am touched to see your comment. I am so happy! that you spoke about the blog over the telephone. The pumpkins and the sun flowers are from our garden. My husband has a love for gardening. The flatware's have a wooden handle, the set of which I picked up a few years ago while I was living in Bombay. The plates are not marble. They are stoneware. They are made to look like a marble. Real marble plates would be quite heavy and so wouldn't be made from it and also has tendency to absorb oil easily . Interestingly there are many beautiful curios made out of marble, made here in India. Always pleasure visiting your blog and love your collections. Have a lovely day. Hugs Sujatha:)
ReplyDeleteLove your dishes, they are gorgeous, and this is such a beautiful table. Couldn't have matched those chargers any better.
ReplyDeleteI have some hankies exactly like yours, think I got them at the flea market years and years ago.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful table with us.
Blessings, Nellie
