Bordallo Easter Brunch

Pat has no fear of color - she loves to mix it and experiment with different combinations - especially when it comes to dishes. Bordallo Pinheiro Green Cabbage is a very popular pattern - so much so, that it is not a favorite of ours. But Pat decided to challenge herself to use it this Easter in a different way (to be honest, she is having our Cousin over for Easter Brunch who owns a fantastic collection of it and wanted to show him how versatile it be.)

Pat accommodates lots of people for Easter Brunch by setting tables throughout the kitchen and down the livingroom. She had her kitchen table specially made from her own design to act as a table and an extra heavy countertop. She sets it in addition to several round tables in the livingroom each holding five to six people or more.

Close up of the place setting - yes, that's a bright yellow charger holding Bordallo Cabbage dishware

Flatware is sleek "Image" stainless steel by Spode

First layer of the place setting is a small vegetable/berry bowl to hold fruit salad

Although it looks washed out, this is a very bright "Sunflower" yellow Fiesta Bread/Butter plate

Of course, I love the chargers - bright yellow!

Pat used sage green and yellow napkins held by a simple yellow napkin ring

Bunnies everywhere......

Egg candles sit throughout the grass

This is what the round tables look like

Pat used part of her Easter Village as the centerpiece

Where it came from:
Yellow Chargers - inexpensive lacquer chargers spray painted with Fusion Spray Paint
Bordallo Pinheiro Cabbage Dishware - from eBay, TJMaxx, Replacements, Ross
Yellow Accent Plate - "Sunflower" Fiesta by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Flatware - "Image" by Spode from Tuesday Morning
Sage Green Napkins - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Yellow Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Water Glass - The Dollar Store
Champagne Glass - "Bubbles Galore" by Maxwell & Williams from Tuesday Morning

We will be joining Susan at "Between Naps on the Porch" this Thursday:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/

  2. The green of the cabbage plates compliments the yellow Fiesta plate and the yellow charger wonderfully. I love the whimsey of the Easter Village as part of the table setting. I know what you mean about the cabbage plates. I have quite a few pieces collected over the years. I have used the green cabbage plates and serving pieces for family get togethers but not in a tablescape for the blog. I do like it especially the white cabbage plates and I have used the pink cabbage plates for a tablescape, but not the green. After seeing how beautifully you have combined the pieces I think I may give try and mix it up in a different way and see what I can come up with too. Thank you so much for the inspiration!! Have a wonderful blessed Easter.
