New Years Eve Tablescape

With New Years Eve tomorrow night, naturally, the table has to be set. The color scheme is silver, white and purple:
Over view of the table

The place setting

Flatware is "King James" silverplate by Oneida

Pat started the place setting with a small sauce bowl and liner

The pattern is simple - small white flowers on the border with a thin platinum band

Pat used a purple napkin to give separation between the dinner plate and salad plate and add more color

This is just an inexpensive silver lacquer charger

We couldn't resist these placemats when we saw them at Bed, Bath, and Beyond a few weeks ago

Pier I had these glasses in both purple and red

Pat used silver candles to carry out the color scheme

The arrangement consists of small white roses with baby's breath in a silver bowl on a round mirror

Decidedly different place for the sauce spoon....

One last look
Where it came from:
Brocade Tablecloth - from Gottschalk's (a local Department) store several years ago
Silver Placemat - Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Flatware - "King James" Silverplate by Oneida from our Mother
Dinnerware - "Reina" by Noritake from our Mother (a gift from our brother when he was stationed in the Pacific during the late 1960-70's)
Napkin - handmade by Pat
Glassware - from Pier 1 this year
Crystal Champagne Coasters - from Pat's collection
Candle Holders - from Art & Old Things (a local antique store that we love)
Round Mirror and Candles - Michael's
Silver Flower Bowl - from my collection

We will be joining Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" this Wednesday:

  1. Your table is so fresh and elegant for New Year's Eve. The purple reminds me of Pantone's new color of the year! Happy New Year! Linda

  2. Gorgeous! The stemware is stunning and so different! I love that you kept the rest simple to really let it shine!

  3. Oh, I actually gasped when I saw this table! The color combination is exquisite and your china, flatware and stemware complete the theme beautifully. No wonder I look forward to your postings all the time. Well done, once again. Rosie @ The Magic Hutch

  4. This stemware is stunning! This table would be a great jumping off place for Mardi Gras! Just add more color and bling it up a bit. For New Year's Eve, following all of the excesses of Christmas, though, this simplicity you have here is just right.
    Linda @ A Toile Tale

  5. This took my breath away!!! Love those glasses!!!

  6. So elegant and it all. That purple stemware is to die for!

  7. What a gorgeous table. Love all of the purple crystal!
