Autumn Table

The inspiration for this week's table came from the pumpkin plates we found on the sale rack at Pier 1 some time ago. (We love a sale....)

Pat didn't want the pumpkin napkins to "compete" with the place settings so she laid them across the back of each chair

Here's the inspiration plate - from Pier 1's sale rack last year

The luncheon plate is actually ivory colored - it's Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin

Pat's husband spray painted inexpensive lacquer chargers brown to use on the table

The covered soup bowl was from Pier 1 four years ago - it has a much simpler pattern than the ones they sell now

We probably use these Dollar Tree glasses more than any other glassware that we own

Spode Delamere Bouquet Table

I finally completed my set of Spode Delamere Bouquet! Since it is a discontinued pattern, I have relied on Replacements.com to get my place settings. (I couldn't afford to buy them all at one time, so I bought a single place setting every so often, and before you knew it, I had a complete set.) I  always wanted this set from the first time I saw it......

Pat used a Depressionware sherbet and liner to give the place setting some height.

Flatware is "Grand Colonial" sterling silver by Wallace (a gift from very kind and generous Cousins)

One of my favorite Depressionware patterns - "Newport Amethyst" by Hazel Atlas

The smaller Charger is a "White" Fiesta(ware) Chop Plate Homer Laughlin

Pat used two Charger - this time an antique silver one from Tuesday Morning

I couldn't post this tablescape without telling the story of this place mat - Pat found them at Pier 1 several years ago and bought all they had. They were less than 50 cents each. (I thought they were ugly, a waste of money, and that we would never use them....boy, was I wrong. They're still ugly, but.....I mean purple faux leather......)
