French Modern Tablescape

Not quite formal - not quite country, the best way to describe this week's table is French modern more than anything else (I doubt that there is a tablescape designation for "French Modern" but here it is anyway.) Pat found the placemats at Tuesday Morning recently and really wanted to use them.

Pat used a very simple centerpiece - a tall, black metal Eiffel Tower surrounded by a grape vine, grapes, and assorted wine. She use black Depression glass candle holders with 14" Oatmeal colored tapers.

The placemats are extra thick cork backed - slightly smaller than a regular placemat

I fell in love with this flatware after I saw Replacements using it on their Facebook page - "Fluence" by Oneida

It's hard to describe this dishware - they are super thick, polished glass and very silky feeling - absolutely fabulous on any table

One of my favorite patterns of glassware from Pier 1 - it is called "Urban Sable."

On loan from our Cousin, these silver Bread/Butter plates are perfect for the place setting. Pat chose not polish them so that they would look slightly rustic.

Lenox Blue Frost Tablescape

Pat and I raided our cousin's "stash" again the other day. (He's the one who gave me his extra blue Portieux goblets and sterling silver "Grand Colonial" flatware.....yes, I am blessed to have a cousin who is as nuts about tablescaping as I am.) Anyway, we grabbed some sterling silver water goblets, some Waterford Lismore Wine goblets, and some other "stuff" to set the table this week. Then Pat pulled out our Lenox "Blue Frost" dishware and went to work.

Pat decided to raise the silver bowl to give it more prominence - she used a champagne holder/coaster.
