Poinsettia Christmas Table

Yes - we, too, have jumped on the Christmas tablescape bandwagon like many other tablescapers even though it is still November. Christmas is our favorite time of year, and both Pat and I start planning for next year the day after Christmas. So it seems natural to start setting the table for the season now.
Over view of the table

The place setting consists of a glitzy red charger holding poinsettia plates with a glass poinsettia plate on top. Gold flatware and gold-like crackle glassware match the center of the poinsettia.

Flatware is "Gold Iconic" by Wallace Silver

We bought these glitzy red chargers at Pier 1 last year

Love these glass candle holders from Ross

Pat arranged a huge handful of silk poinsettia in a large milk glass pedestal bowl

Pat added these small gold packages and red berries to the greenery for more color

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Gold Flatware - "Gold Iconic" by Wallace Silver Co. from Replacements, Ltd.
Red Glitter Charger - from Pier 1 last year
Dinnerware - "Poinsettia" by Hallmark (purchased by Pat at a rummage sale to support Hospice)
Poinsettia Plate - from Michael's and Pier 1 last year
Glassware - Amber "Crackle" from Pier 1
Napkin Ring - from Pier 1
White Napkin Overlay - a gift from Pat
Red Candle Holders - from Ross Dress For Less
White Bowl (holding Poinsettia) - Milk Glass from the Westmoreland Glass Co.
Gold Packages - from Pier 1
Candles, Flowers, Greenery - Michael's

We will be joining Christine's "Table It!" at Rustic & Refined this Monday:

We will also be joining Susan for "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch this Thursday:

  1. Hi, Pat & Katie! I absolutely INSIST that you send me everything on this table!!! It's beautiful! I LOVE that gold flatware!!! It looks high end without looking highbrow, if you know what I mean. LOVE it!!! I failed to pick up on those red glass chargers at Pier 1. They are beautiful and look wonderful as the foundation to your place settings.

I'm with you on thinking about the next Christmas before the current one is over. Every year I say I wish I had 3 or 4 homes to decorate so that I could get all of my ideas out of my system. Of course, I'd have to start decorating in July to get them all done...but that's not the point! :-)

It's good that you are getting a jump on Christmas posts. Many readers out there look to all of us for ideas. When we post them early, it gives those folks a chance to get out and find stuff so they can run with our ideas. While Thanksgiving is "my" holiday and most beloved in my heart, I realize I have to start getting those Christmas ideas out there as early as possible!

  2. Breathtaking! Love those poinsettia plates and this table is absolutely gorgeous!

  3. Love those poinsettia dishes...they are so vibrant and gorgeous....Beautiful table!

  4. You've outdone yourselves with this gorgeous table! It is beautiful!!

  5. Beautiful!! I am so ready to start Christmas too! Those poinsettia plates are perfect for your first Christmas table of the season. Not too much HoHoHo, they are just right to start the season off!
