Father's Day 2015 Tablescape

Our Dad was a kind and generous person who loved animals. We always had a house (and yard) full of assorted "critters" when we were growing up. After all of us kids left home (leaving it quiet,) Dad acquired an assortment of birds - much to Mom's dismay - to fill the "noise" loss. When Pat and I were at Pier 1 two weeks ago, we spotted these great parrot plates that we knew immediately were absolutely perfect for Father's Day!
Here's to you, Dad. We miss you.

Oriental Tablescape

As the old saying goes, "Better late than never," sad to say - this week's table is late. I was having my new computer repaired again - this time it was a very dangerous and deadly virus that is going around holding all of your files (and your computer) hostage until you pay ransom. Yes, they are held until you pay to release them. You are given "96 hours" to pay - so BEWARE, if it strikes, you have to erase all of your files on your computer and start new to get rid of it.

Anyway, Pat designed this week's table using dishes she bought at Tuesday Morning. And thanks to Pat's daughter who lives three hours away and has a Tuesday Morning in her area, we have a complete set for eight.

Where it came from:
Placemats - from Ross Dress (and Set Your Table) For Less years ago
White Chargers - By Bernardaud from Tuesday Morning
Blue Glass Chargers - by Bormioli from Ross
Dinnerware - Bombay "Blue and White" from Tuesday Morning
Glassware - by Artland from Replacements
Tall Clear Vases - from a local thrift shop
Blue Votive Holders - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
