Perhaps this week's tablescape is more suited to a Spring table than a cold blustery Winter one, but here in our part of the country, January is a normally a "mild" month with sunny skies and moderate to warm temperatures. (Then Mother Nature turns the next few months into wet, windy and generally nasty weather for revenge.) So, Pat took advantage of the lull and set this week's table featuring pink and white.
Flatware is "April" by Wm Rogers & Son
The floral napkin rings are from Pier 1
Pat used the large accent plate in the "Rose Chintz" pattern instead of the regular dinner plate
This is one of several pink Depressionware glass that we are fortunate to own.
Where it came from:
Oval Place Mats - from Art & Old Things (a local antique boutique sadly out of business) years ago
Charger - "Rose Blush" Color Spectrum by Mikasa from eBay and Replacements,Ltd.com
Dinnerware - "Rose Chintz" by Johnson Brothers from Replacements,Ltd.com and eBay
Flatware - "April" silverplate by Wm Rogers & Son from Pat's collection
Glassware - "Royal Pierpont Pink" by Noritake (1986-1996)
White Centerpiece Tray - Pattern unknown but by Schumann (I was told that Schumann made many of there famous pieces in just white porcelain so that they could be hand-painted. This is probably one of them.)
Pale Pink Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Rings - from Pier 1 several years ago
Assorted Pink Depression Ware - from our collection
We will be joining Susan for "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch this Thursday: http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
This table makes me so happy! I think now is the perfect time to do something to remind us that spring is on the way. I love all of the pinks here. I have very few pink things, although I did inherit some pink coffee cups from my mother, but, sadly (strangely) there were no saucers. I’m struggling to think what I could possibly do with those cups without saucers. I also inherited a rather lovely luncheon set with a rectangular plate and a spot for a round soup bowl that is cream with tiny pink flowers and green leaves, but again, that long rectangle is puzzling me as well.
