Back To Business As Usual Christmas Tablescape

Many of you know that we were hit last week with a 7.0 earthquake just off the coast of Eureka where I live. Luckily, it didn't last long and was "deep" so damage was limited. I just couldn't face cleaning up, clearing "debris", and setting a table so Pat agreed to skip last week's table.

This week Pat set a traditional red and green table.

(I had already redecorated the big tree in the other corner and just couldn't face this one......Said "good-bye and put it away)

Snowy Christmas Tablescape

With sunny skies and a balmy 55 degrees outside, snow is not on the "weather menu" here in coastal Northern California. (In fact, we rarely ever have snow so when we do, it is a treat.) Pat wanted to set the first table of December in a decidedly Christmas holiday theme. For most people, that starts with snow.

"Bang Up" Musical Christmas Tablescape

Having survived last week's "atmospheric river" deluge, today's weather is a balmy 52 degrees and slightly sunny but it's very muddy and soggy. Much better than 48 hours of rain and wind.....

This week's table reflects a much brighter attitude (and weather). Pat had fun with some of our Karen Didion elves.
The color choice reflects the color of the centerpiece Santa

Monotone Gray (To Match the Weather) Christmas Tablescape

We were met with this morning's news from our friends at the local National Weather Service that said "wide spread power outages expected with high wind warnings and possible flooding and landslides, 60 miles per hour gusts along the coast....steady, moderate rain with two to four inches every 24 hours through Saturday...." Good grief - another soggy, wet, and possible "dark" week. So...it seemed appropriate to set this week's table to match.
