Bone Pickin' Halloween Tablescape

Well - all I can say about this week's tablescape is that it's different from what we usually post. Pat was in rare form as she put this one together - perhaps I should blame her daughter who is over this weekend. She and Pat always participate in Sunday's annual Humboldt Redwoods Marathon together.

Anyway, Pat worked on this table and Jennifer put our other blog's table together.
The table - just black and white and a bit creepy

The place setting - the classic Halloween "skeleton" hand holds a napkin draped across the plate

Flatware is "San Remo" Black

The "Napkin Ring"

Pat used a simple but elegant coupe charger

Glassware is "Jet Black" by Reizart

In addition to napkin rings, Pat used the skeleton hands for Votive holders

The centerpiece uses three candle holders - Pat just turned one that was taller over to hold the crow

Close up of the crow "snacking......."

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
White Charger - by Bernardaud from Tuesday Morning
Black Dinner Plate - "Fun Factory" Black by Waechtersbach from Replacements
White Luncheon Plate - "Food Network" White from Kohl's
Bread/Butter Plate - Black "Fiesta" by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Flatware - Black "San Remo" by Hampton Silversmiths from Horchow's
Glassware - by "Jet Black" by Reizart from Replacements
Candle Holders - from Pier 1
Candles, Net, Crows, and all "Bones" - from Michael's
Napkins - Handmade by Pat

  1. What an eerily elegant and frighteningly fun Halloween table. I'm afraid to ask what might be on the menu (those skeletons are alarmingly meat-free) or exactly who is on the guest list!

  2. With all the black and white, this is a wonderfully executed spooky table!

  3. "A bit" creepy??? Ya think??!?!??!??!!! This is great! I love it! First, I love the sophisticated turn it takes with using just black & white. Very cool. Second, the way the napkins are displayed...priceless!!!! I love that so much!!! The crow snacking on the skeleton head is hilarious! And I really like the way all the bones are just kind of strewn down the center of the table as if the skeletons were trying to run away from the grave. Really great touch!!!

Perfect "Meet-Cute" of creepy and cool!!!
