Pembroke and Pink Tablescape

Like most of our dinnerware collections, our pattern of Aynsley "Pembroke" was acquired piece by piece. We found it on eBay, at antique stores, consignment shops, Replacements.com - you name it, Pat and I scoured our community and surrounding areas looking to own eight complete place settings. (I loved the pattern never seeing it in person - always in pictures, but when we finally saw it in a cupboard of a dear friend, my heart nearly burst! I had to have it.)

The napkin consists of a single white polyester napkin wrapped inside a pale pink chiffon overlay held together by a pink and silver glass beaded napkin ring from Pier 1

Flatware is "Byzantine" by Yamazaki

The soft pink chargers match the dinnerware perfectly - once again, Pat's sweet husband spray painted eight inexpensive plastic chargers with plastic adhesive spray paint (after roughing them a bit with some sandpaper)

Since the table was designed for a Lady's luncheon, the centerpiece was kept simple - Pat used a strawberry basket that will be filled with fresh strawberries and two bud vases holding pale pink roses
The large shell shaped bowl was used to serve fresh blueberries

Pat likes to use pieces of the dinnerware in different ways - here she used the cigarette holder to hold imitation sugar

One last look from the other end of the table

Pelicans By the Sea Table

This is the last of Pat's weekly "sea" themed tables. It's been quite a challenge for her coming up with different looking tables while using the same tablecloth and netting each week. I think that Pat finished with my favorite....

This time the place setting is a bit more rustic

The satin finish flatware is "Vault" by Gourmet Settings

Although you can't tell, the pelican stands out in relief on the plate

We've had the dinner plate for years - "Almond Martillo" from Pier 1

Pat used two chargers - this one is a "Lapis" Fiesta(ware) chop plate by Homer Laughlin

By using this charger, it gives the place setting more prominence on the table

A work horse in our collection - glassware is from the Dollar Tree

The rope napkin rings came from Michael's years ago - less than a dollar apiece.

Pat made up three candle holders for the centerpiece

Each candle holder has an assortment of shells, sea glass, and driftwood on sand
