Gingerbread Christmas Tablescape - #3

While I love colorful, fun Gingerbread houses and decorations, once in a while I like to see a simple Gingerbread tablescape. This week's table features "undecorated" gingerbread and is kept in a monotone color palette.

The napkin ring is a simple white round (PVC pipe cut into 1"  slices and spray painted white) and a Gingerbread Cookie ornaments hot glued on top.

Winter Brown Christmas Tablescape - #4

A huge winter storm came through this week and left with it not only flooded streets and downed tree limbs but dark, gloomy, overcast skies for the last few days. That's probably what inspired this week's brown tablescape and choice of Santa.

The flatware has pencil thin copper handles - neat to look at but not so great or easy to use

The salad plate is "Spice Route Sesame" from Pier 1
The dinner plate is "Martillo Almond" also from Pier 1

The glassware is "Madeira Brown" by Franciscan

Where it came from:
Off white and Brown Place Mats - from a local antique store now out of business
Brown Charger and Plates - from Pier 1 over the years
Bread and Butter Plate - "Chocolate" Fiesta(ware) by Homer Laughlin from Replacements,Ltd.
Glassware - "Madeira Brown" by Franciscan from our collection
Stitched edge Napkins - from Pier 1 seven or eight years ago

Pink Christmas Candy Tablescape - #2

Christmas tablescapes - my very favorite kind and am I ready to set some tables! My tablescaping family is very aware of my "obsession" and I apologize in advance to posting holiday tables so soon and for posting so many but I can't help it.
Granted,  pink is not a traditional Christmas color, but we found a Santa dressed in pink and mint and "went with it"

Flatware is "Primary" by Noritake

Our traditional "work horse" and my favorite Christmas charger - from the Maryland China Company

The glasses are clean, I promise. I couldn't get a clear picture no matter how hard I tried

Do you know how hard it is to find a gingerbread house with just pink decorations?

Formal Lenox Holiday Christmas Tablescape - #1

As I wrote last week, we are now in "Christmas mode" and decided to start posting Christmas tablescapes since this is our favorite time of the year. Apologies to everyone who may dislike such an early start but we ask you to forgive us - we're old (i.e. doddering), set in our ways (some would say mildly senile), and most importantly, we have dozens of sets of Holiday dishes that are begging to be seen.....
We start our Grand Christmas Adventure with what I consider the quintessential affordable Christmas dinnerware - "Holiday" by Lenox. Our Mother started purchasing this pattern in the 1970's and then Pat and I continued to add to the collection. Not as affordable today, but still gorgeous....
Pat set the table in a more traditional, colorful family friendly style

Flatware is "Antique Gold Baroque" by Wallace

Pat used her signature look - two chargers since the deep red charger is almost 14" across and made the place setting look lost.

Where it came from:
Ivory brocade tablecloth - from a local Department store long out of business
Deep Red Lacquer chargers - from Target years ago
Dinnerware - "Holiday" by Lenox from our Mother's collection
Flatware - "Antique Baroque Gold" by Wallace from Horchow several years ago
Red Goblets - from Pier 1 many years ago
Gold Napkins and Red Napkin Rings - from Pier 1 many years ago
Deep Red Glittered Centerpiece Cones - from Costco five or six years ago
Santa - from TJMaxx this year
Green Champagne Trumpet Glass - from the Designer Series by Judal from Replacements
