Bicycling with Fiesta(ware)

As most people who know her understand, my sister is a "fresh air freak."  She walks miles a day according to her "Fitbit" (in addition to going to the gym five days a week but that's another story.) She works in her yard for hours in all kinds of weather, but her true love is bicycling. She rode for years and still has a fondness for the sport. So this week's table is a tribute to the bicycle......

To add more interest, Pat alternated every other place setting using the same color theme

The napkin ring is a simple PVC pipe cut into 1" rounds and spray painted

Fiesta(ware) colors are Turquoise, Rose, and Sunflower

Flatware is ceramic handled "Primary" by Noritake

Pat placed turquoise salt/pepper shakers at one end of the table and rose colored shakers at the other end

The large bicycle acts as the centerpiece and flower holder

Pat added flowers to the basket

These cute bicycles are actually name card holders - you can see where Pat picked up the colors for the dinnerware.

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
White Charger - from the Maryland China Company (mail order)
All Dinnerware - "Fiesta(ware)" by Homer Laughlin from Macy's, Kohl's, and Replacements.com
Ceramic handled Flatware - "Primary" by Noritake from eBay and Replacements.com
Glassware - from Pier 1 years ago
Small Bicycles - from Pier 1 last month
Yellow Checked Napkins - from Pier 1 two years ago
Yellow Candles - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Large Centerpiece Bicycle - from Ross

  5. That table is beautiful on its own, but the addition of the bicycles makes it extra special. I love the little place card bicycles and hope that maybe I can still find some at Pier 1 online. (I'll be checking). Those plate stack colors are so very pretty. Another winner!
