Autumn Leaves

It took us about two seconds to decide that we did not want to do another Halloween tablescape this week - we both wanted something seasonal but no pumpkins (and absolutely no more straw this year!) So, with that in mind, this is what Pat came up with:
Over view of the table

The place setting

Flatware is one of our absolute favorites - "Image" by Spode. It is simple, sleek, and really nice to use.

First layer of the place setting - these bowls have been sitting in the cupboard for a couple of years. Pat thought they would add interest to the table since they come in four different colors.

The Chocolate Fiesta Salad plate acts as the Leaf Soup Bowl liner

I love these plates! My absolutely favorite person at Pier 1, Rayleen, helped me pick them out.

Pat used a simple brown charger to hold it all

The five piece flatware place setting

Bulky, gold napkin rings add the right "weight" to the napkin fold

The brown "Expresso" glassware by Lenox was a gift from my niece

Pat used smaller leaf bowls in assorted colors for votive holders

The centerpiece is a simple candle arrangement

Crystal and Cauldrons Tablescape

Pat's daughter was home this weekend to participate in the annual Redwoods Run with her mother (hundreds of people - young and old -  run/walk miles through lovely redwoods for fun.........fun? Shudder. Just thinking about it makes my feet hurt. I stayed home and saved shoe leather.) Anyway, while she was here, she and her mother stopped by to play with dishes and to decorate tables. Here's what they came up with for Halloween:

The place setting

Flatware is stainless steel Image by Spode

First layer of the place setting is a black napkin wrapped in a silver overlay with silver beaded napkin ring

Jennifer used a simple white plate from Kohl's since the charger and glasses were patterned

Honestly, this plate was sparkling clean - no matter what I did, it looked like lint on it

These gorgeous chargers are stainless steel from Pier 1

Jennifer chose these lined goblets to coordinate with the lines on the charger

The five piece place setting of "Image" flatware

Crystal-like beads and small silver balls make this napkin ring stand out

We have this tree in four different sizes

Crystal tea light holders with black tea lights

Small black cauldrons and little mirror rounds are spread around the table

Fall White Plate Challenge

Each week, Pat and I participate in Cuisine Kathleen's "Let's Dish" (http://www.cuisinekathleen.com/)  blog party. Kathleen issued a challenge to all tablescapers for this week - design a Fall table using white plates only and one other color. Here's what we came up with:
Over view of the table

The place setting

Pat used this flatware last week on our other blog, Table for One Tablescapes, but it was just the perfect choice for this week's place setting.

Naturally, Pat had to use these over sized amber goblets and wine glasses

These amber cracked crystal pumpkins are from Pier 1

It seems like everything on this table is from Pier 1 - these plates are no exception. They are called Madeline.

The dark amber/bronze color of the charger is a perfect match to the amber pumpkin stems

White vintage napkin is held by a beaded amber napkin ring

Candle holders are Depressionware glass

The five piece flatware place setting - "Fluence" by Oneida

Pat used an assortment of amber pumpkins and squash in different sizes as the centrepiece - simple yet elegant

One last look at the table
Where it came from:
Tablecloth - gift from Pat
Chargers - unknown maker from eBay
White Dinner and Salad Plates - "Madeline" from Pier 1

Fall Tablescape

It's definitely time for a Fall tablescape. Pat used a Bordallo Pinheiro leaf shaped bowl as the inspiration piece for this week's table.
Over view of the table

Pat used a piece of burlap across the table to add a little texture but not cover it entirely

Close up of the place setting

The stack - Flatware is "Montana" by Gourmet Settings

Pat chose a fan fold - the fan sits in the napkin ring and is hidden by a Fall leaf

The inspiration leaf - you can see the beautiful colors that Pat used for the dishware

This layer is an Ivory Fiesta salad plate

This Paprika Fiesta luncheon plate is from Kohl's. No one seems to know what it does not have the same typical rim as all other Fiestaware plates.

This layer is an Ivory Fiesta Dinner plate

The brown charger holds it all

The five piece flatware place setting

What tablescaper doesn't use this versatile glassware from the Dollar Store?

Our TJ Maxx store just opened up (Yippeeee!!!!!) - Pat's first purchase was three sets of these candle holders in assorted sizes.

Yes, Pat used more hay this week........just when I finally got last week's tablescape cleaned up. The centerpiece is a mixture of fresh and faux squash mixed with fall berries and leaves on small hay bales.
