Blue and Stainless Steel Autumn Table

Although I called this blog post "Blue and Stainless Steel," I could have called it "Lots of Stuff From Pier 1" table - granted, Pat and I bought the tablescaping items over a period of time (several years) and not for just any one particular table. But it seems that most of the things that Pat assembled for this week's table came from Pier 1. So, with apologies for those who do not like Pier 1, here's this week's Autumn table:
I guess you can call this table Autumn with an updated look

Flatware is "Musee" by Reed & Barton

I like the neutral color of the dinnerware - "Spice Route Salt" from Pier 1

The charger is Colonial Blue "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa

First Table of Autumn

Our first table of Autumn is one that Pat's daughter came up with while she was here visiting a few weeks ago. It uses orange and green plaid placemats from Pier 1 (this season) and Franciscan's "Vegetable Medley" accent plates.
Colorful plaid placemats and matching napkins set the tone for this table.

Flatware is "Sophia" by Hampton Forge. It matches perfectly with the "Sage" Fiesta(ware) dinner plate

We were going to use all "Carrot" accent plates - but, Confession time, I misplaced one of them. So - on to plan B and now we are using all four vegetable plates in the set.

Another "find" from Pier 1 this season - these amber glasses took on a most welcomed orange tinge on the table

One last look from the other end of the table

Formal Flintridge Midnight Rose Table

It's been a while since we used our formal Flintridge "Midnight Rose" dinnerware - Pat and I found it at a yard sale a few years ago for under $20. It was in pristine condition, and considering it was a complete set of eight 5-piece place settings, we couldn't pass it up.
Produced from 1964 through 1972 by the California-based Flintridge China Company, the vintage pattern features a double platinum band with a black and platinum rose on a coupe plate

Pat used a highly polished, modern black flatware to contrast with the vintage look of the plate

You can see the double band of platinum better in this picture - I always think of the amazing skill it takes to hand apply it.....(I really am a dish nerd.)

The charger is one of our favorites - Black "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa

Just wanted to show the style of the footed cup - also with a double band of platinum

Pat used these elegant "Midnight Black" goblets by Artland for more of a modern look

Talk about mixing periods - Pat used Depression Glass "Mt. Pleasant" double candle holders for part of the centerpiece

One last look from the other end of the table

Not expensive, not highly sought after.....I just think it is gorgeous anyway.

Farm Fresh Tablescape

Pat dropped by with a bag of freshly harvested vegetables to set this week's table (they won't stay long on the table after pictures are taken.....the soup pot is on...) Here's what she came up with:
Pat started with a burlap tablecloth to give the table a slightly rustic look

Flatware is satin finish "Vault" by Gourmet Settings

The dinner plate is "Farm Fresh" by Home Trends - the perfect name for a pattern

Pat used two chargers - the first one is a "Paprika" Fiesta(ware) chop plate by Homer Laughlin

The galvanized metal charger is from Pier 1

Simple tumblers keep the table rustic
