Noritake Stanford Court and Lorelei

Legend has it that a mythical siren named Lorelei lives among the rocks and lures sailors to their death by her voice. Not quite an appetizing topic, but it makes a great center and conversation piece.

Years ago, Pat bought a "Lorelei" figurine because she always loved the legend. Here's the table this week that she set using it:

Flatware is "Gold Iconic" by Wallace

Pat used a Lenox "Mansfield" charger to add more interest

Just wanted to show what the cup and saucer looked like.....

Another interesting piece - a cigarette holder

These antique brass lanterns are authentic - from Pat's husband

From the other end of the table
Where it came from:
Antique Gold Chargers - from Tuesday Morning last year
Charger - "Mansfield" by Lenox from my niece (I "borrowed" them several years ago.....)
Dinnerware - "Stanford Court" (1986-2000) by Noritake from eBay and Replacements.com
Flatware - "Gold Iconic" by Wallace from Replacements.com
Glassware - "Royal Pierpont" by Noritake from eBay
Pink Napkins - Handmade by Pat
Napkin Overlay - a gift from Pat years ago
Lanterns - from Pat's husband
Lorelei Figurine - from Ross years ago

  1. Beautiful! The shell pattern on the china plays well with Lorelei. A lovely tablescape, as usual.

  2. I love the table and the centerpiece. The story is one I have heard from many a boater in my family.
