Easter "Spectacles"

Pat recently purchased several sets of Easter accent plates from Pier 1 to use for a Christmas dinner for the local Lions Club that she and her husband host every year (yes, a little weird but when you see the dishes, you'll understand the significance.) Anyway, she wanted to use them now - as a "trial run" to see how they would look.
The Easter "Spectacle" table - as you know, the Lions Club supports projects that prevent blindness, improve eyesight, and provide eye care for millions of people throughout the world. Pat is right - these will be great plates for the local Lions Club annual Christmas party.

The place setting

Flatware is elegant and sleek "Image" by Spode

You gotta love this bunny....

The dinner plate is also from Pier 1 - "Ginger" Spice Route stoneware. My very favorite person in the world from Pier 1,
Raelene, showed me how versatile this plate was and what could be done with it. We have used over and over again. Every time we use it, I think of her (and how much I miss her.)

An inexpensive lacquer charger (on sale after the season from Michael's) was spray painted "Paprika"

We have had this glassware for years - from Pier 1

Pat "shoved" a napkin into a wooden napkin ring and then placed a small rustic bunny ornament in front

Although Pier 1 sold a bunny with glasses, all of our glasses were handmade by Pat's husband. This bunny is from TJMaxx.

Assorted glasses were placed around the table

From the other end of the table

Where it came from:
Placemat - Pier 1
Charger - Inexpensive lacquer charger on sale after the season from Michael's and spray painted with Fusion Spray Paint in the color Paprika
Dinnerware and Glassware - from Pier 1
Flatware - "Image" by Spode from Tuesday Morning
Napkins - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Wooden Napkin Rings - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond
Bunnies - from TJMaxx, Tuesday Morning, and Pier 1
Grass - from Michael's
Assorted "Spectacles" - lovingly borrowed from the Lions Club

We will be joining Susan for "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
