Crystal and Cauldrons Tablescape

Pat's daughter was home this weekend to participate in the annual Redwoods Run with her mother (hundreds of people - young and old -  run/walk miles through lovely redwoods for fun.........fun? Shudder. Just thinking about it makes my feet hurt. I stayed home and saved shoe leather.) Anyway, while she was here, she and her mother stopped by to play with dishes and to decorate tables. Here's what they came up with for Halloween:
Over view of the table

The place setting

Flatware is stainless steel Image by Spode

First layer of the place setting is a black napkin wrapped in a silver overlay with silver beaded napkin ring

Jennifer used a simple white plate from Kohl's since the charger and glasses were patterned

Honestly, this plate was sparkling clean - no matter what I did, it looked like lint on it

These gorgeous chargers are stainless steel from Pier 1

Jennifer chose these lined goblets to coordinate with the lines on the charger

The five piece place setting of "Image" flatware

Crystal-like beads and small silver balls make this napkin ring stand out

We have this tree in four different sizes

Crystal tea light holders with black tea lights

Small black cauldrons and little mirror rounds are spread around the table

One last look at the table from the other end
Where it came from:
Tablecloth - gift from Pat
Stainless Steel Charger - from Pier 1
Black Dinner Plate - "Fun Factory" by Waechtersbach from Tuesday Morning
White Salad Plate - by Food Network from Kohl's
Black Bread/Butter Plate - Fiestaware by Homer Laughlin from Replacements
Flatware - "Image" by Spode from Tuesday Morning
Black Napkin - Handmade by Pat
Silver Overlay Napkin - from Pier 1
Napkin Ring - from Pier 1
Glassware - from Pier 1
Crystal Tealight Holders and small round mirrors - Michael's
Black Tealight candles - Ross
Silver Candle Holders and Black Candles - Michael's

  1. Now this is All Hallow's Eve dining at its most elegant. The table is flawless, and the subtle hint of the holiday with the black gnarly tree and cauldrons is the perfect touch. I'm sure your dinner party will be ghoulishly grand with a tablescape like this!

  3. What an elegant table! Love the tree and the little cauldrons. I had the same problem with my dishes looking like lint was on them and they were washed and clean too! I like those chargers and napkin rings- I can imagine this in the evening with the candles glowing- very nice!
