Apple Challenge

Cuisine Kathleen of "Let's Dish" ( has issued a challenge this week for all tablescapers - design a table using apples. We love Kathleen's challenges, and this one was no exception. Pat pulled a few things out of the cupboard, and this is what she came up with for our entry.
Over view of the Apple table

The place setting

Flatware is rustic "Montana" by Gourmet Settings

Love this simple glassware - "Frost" by Libby

Pat used an apple green napkin wrapped in a checked red napkin held by a wicker napkin ring

The stack

The five piece place setting

Pat started the place setting with a Granny Smith Apple in a small white bowl

Next layer is the matching salad plate

To add a punch of color, Pat used a Scarlett Fiesta Luncheon plate

The matching white dinner plate is next

The charger is a colorful Apple Green

For the centerpiece, Pat turned two fruit baskets on their sides and had apples "pouring" out

Candles are apple green and red to coordinate with the color theme

One last look at the table from the other end

  1. Happy Fall Pat & Katie, I always love your tablescapes. This one is no exception. I am absolutely apple green with envy for those apple green chargers. Where do you store all of your beautiful china. I just love the Fiesta ware..... Candy

  2. Obsessing over the red checks and the lime green color of the Grannies. Hugs, Holly

  3. Hi, Pat and Katie,
Your tablescapes are always impeccable, and this one is no different!! I love, love, love your centerpiece with the fruit basket and the apples spilling out. Your colors are crisp and fresh and look wonderful. You've more than met the challenge! Congratulations!

  4. Love the spilling apple baskets and leaves! Beautiful table as always!

  5. I'm really enjoying all the apple tables tonight and yours is wonderful too! The baskets in the center and the alternating colors of the plates carry the theme perfectly. I love the napkins, too. Linda

  6. Gorgeous apple table! The bushel basket centerpiece is wonderful! Oh, that flatware. I need some cool flatware.

  7. I really like your take on the apple theme! To me your table looks like a modern celebration of an old time apple picking day, fun and fabulous!

  8. Fun table with the apple greens and reds. I did the same for my color theme. '-)
Happy Fall to you two! ~ Sarah

  9. What a great table you pulled together. The bright green and reds with the white look so fresh and like that apple basket centerpiece! Adding the individual leaves was a great idea!

  10. Great colors! I love the apples spilling out of the rustic basket -- great idea! The white really lets the colors pop.
