Serenity Tablescape

With everything as crazy as it is around us (Presidents, politics, pandemic....to name a few,) Pat decided to set a very "serene" table this week to take the edge off a very weird first week of the new year. She used an old, simple Noritake pattern (no name - just number 5248) and added jade and gold.
Very simple, very serene, the table gives off an Oriental feel

Flatware is "Byzantine" by Yamazaki

The sage green charger is "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa

We found the glassware ("Sensa" by Schott Zwiesel) at Pier 1 two years ago

Long story behind the Jade tree - our Brother bought it for our Mom while he was stationed in Okinawa many, many years ago
The figurines are from Design Toscano - not jade but good quality

One last look from the other end of the table

Where it came from:
Charger - Sage "Color Spectrum" by Mikasa from eBay and Replacements.com
Dinnerware - "5248" by Noritake (1951-1955) from the Cancer Society's Discovery Thrift Shop four years ago
Flatware - "Byzantine" by Yamazaki from Horchow five years ago
Glassware - "Sensa" by Schott Zwiesel from Pier 1 two years ago
Brocade Napkins - from our collection
Napkin Rings - from Bed, Bath, and Beyond several years ago
Figurines - from Design Toscano (mail order) many years ago
Jade Tree Arrangement - a gift from our brother to our Mom nearly 60 years ago
Crystal Candle Holders - from Tuesday Morning six or seven years ago

This week, we will be joining "Tablescape Thursday" at Between Naps on the Porch:  http://betweennapsontheporch.net/
